Sakina Socks — Serenity

Sakina (سكينة), serenity: the calm that settles and steadies even the smallest gesture. The same word, four placements to choose from when ordering: Ankle — The Arabic calligraphy sits at the centre of the outer ankle; the transliteration and its translations follow just below, in wide-tracked micro-typography. Cuff — The calligraphy runs vertically along the calf, while the transliteration and its translations read around the elastic cuff, straight or in a ring; the body of the sock stays bare. Sole — The calligraphy stays on the ankle; beneath the sole, only the transliteration and the Latin translations appear — never the Arabic. Geometric kufic — The word in square kufic is woven into a golden geometric pattern on the side of the ankle. The geometric kufic, gilded and more demanding to produce, is offered at a slightly higher price. Premium combed cotton, fine knit and a comfort rib that holds all day without marking the leg.
